PPP LOAN FORGIVENESS, PERMITTED USE AND REPAYMENT RULES: WHAT TO DO AFTER YOU GOT WHAT YOU ASKED FOR , INCLUDING THE LATEST PPP LOAN RULE DEVELOPMENTS AND STRATEGIES

Watch Now!
Recording and Slides are Available Here

Thousands of PPP loan recipients have received their loans, and must now be very careful to follow the rules that apply to permitted uses and forgiveness to the best of their ability, with professional assistance. This is made complicated and challenging by ambiguous rules, conflicting guidance, and challenging financial situations. Some may return the moneys based upon necessity concerns and other developments are occurring.

Join Alan Gassman and Brandon Ketron for this 60 minute straight to the point and thorough presentation on what advisors need to know and can do to help their clients and themselves in this dynamic situation. Topics covered will include the following:

1.  How PPP loans interact and are impacted by EIDL loans, medical relief grants and other sources of capital.

2.  The latest word out on the Necessity requirement and what to do if some but not all of the loan is reasonably necessary.  Review of litigation now filed against the SBA to change the necessity requirement.

3.  The option of repayment without forgiveness and taking the payroll credit-tax ability of the payroll credit.

3.  The PPP Payment Spreadsheet developed by the presenters will be discussed and provided as an Excel document for all attendees.

4.  What is in included in the words "Retirement Plans" "Utilities" and other categories of expenses.

5.  What is meant by "Paid and Incurred."

6.  What to do and how to account for reductions in the number of employees and compensation of given employees under the 75% tests.

7.  Tax treatment and planning for expenses under present uncertainty.

8.  Special rules that apply for Independent Contractors.

9.  Most recent update on changing rules and interpretations.

10.  Examples and questions and answers we have responded to in the past weeks.

And much more.
