The Teapot Trust System & other Strategies for Stretch Ira’s Under the Secure Act: Maximizing Tax Efficient Planning for IRA and Pension Account Inheritance Under the SECURE Act

The SECURE Act puts planners and their clients in a quandary as to how to best work with the 10 -year payout requirement that will apply to the vast majority of heirs who benefit from IRAs and qualified retirement plans left by a loved one.

In their content-packed webinar Alan GassmanChristopher Denicolo and Brandon Ketron will provide planners with what they need to know to determine what the best arrangements are for various situations, and how and why the TEA POT Trust System can work best in many situations.

Attendees will receive a descriptive PowerPoint which describes the TEA POT Trust System, both from a technical standpoint, and in an easily understandable format that can be explained to clients, and non-technical advisors. Attendees also will receive form language that can be used to facilitate trust amendments to implement the system, as well as provisions for other related trust and estate adaptations to the new law.

The following topics will be covered:

--              Describing how the TEAPOT Trust System saves income taxes, and can increase family coordination and unity.

--              Illustrating how the TEA CUP System can be used for maximizing tax avoidance results for chronically ill or disabled beneficiaries.

--              Reviewing the advantages of complex trust status and Section 678 trust status, which can be put to use in conjunction with an “equalization” POT Trust.

--              Addressing how to handle the multiple trust rule as it may apply to a TEAPOT System.

--              Understanding how the required minimum distribution rules now work as a result of the SECURE Act, with helpful charts that simplify this often complex area.

--              Discussing what to do for dispositions to charity or for siblings or other older beneficiaries that may benefit from IRA and qualified retirement plan assets.

And much more.....
