In this exclusive Leimberg webinar, Larry J. Rybka, along with two industry experts, Chris Bottaro and Michael Michlitsch, will discuss how life professionals can get business done in an environment where medical records, exams and lower interest rates are making it harder to get large policies issued. This idea was originally featured in a Wall Street Journal article last week… https://www.wsj.com/articles/some-americans-are-being-turned-away-trying-to-buy-life-insurance-11589103002 They will also share how they are helping producers get policies issued more quickly, often without exams, using other ways to obtain medical records for clients. In addition, they will review what they have learned about insurance carriers post first quarter earnings. Finally, they will highlight best practices for servicing inforce business, highlighting state premium forbearance announcements and how to help make sure premiums are paid at a time when paper statements are being sent to offices that are closed and things are being missed as the normal course of business has been disrupted.

ABOUT THE PRESENTERS:

LAWRENCE J. RYBKA, JD, CFP® is the Chairman and CEO for Valmark Financial Group. Mr. Rybka joined the company 33 years ago after graduating from law school at Wake Forest University. Since 1999, when he became President and Chief Executive Officer, the company has experienced growth of 20 times in total revenue. Larry’s tenure at Valmark has been marked by working with advisors in creating innovation to better serve clients and proactively anticipating difficult regulatory challenges impacting how these services are delivered. His industry advocacy is also evidenced by testimony before legislative bodies and lobbying on behalf of advisors with FINRA, SEC, and several state Insurance Commissioners. Mr. Rybka is also a noted speaker and author with published articles in numerous industry journals. Two of his articles were recognized with industry awards, including The Journal of the American Society of CLU & ChFC® Author Award and the CFP® Board Article Award. He was also an editor and coauthor, along with a dozen Valmark Member Firms, to a book called Life Insurance 10X which catalogues best practices for life insurance. He is also a co-author of one of the CCH Tools and Techniques Books with Steven Leimberg.

CHRIS BOTTARO, MBA is the Senior Vice President of Insurance for Valmark Financial Group. He is responsible for the vision, strategy and execution of life insurance marketing, underwriting, new business, and inforce insurance solutions. In this role, he prides himself in partnering with advisors and insurance carriers to help make the life insurance process simpler and more efficient. He has a technical risk assessment background and spent the first 12 years of his career in various underwriting production and leadership positions at Lincoln Financial Group in Hartford before relocating to the Twin Cities to join Valmark in February of 2015. He has an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, a BA in Economics from Boston College, and holds Series 6 and 26 registrations. Chris is a proud member of the Twin Cities Association of Home Office Underwriters and the Minneapolis Leadership Roundtable.

MICHAEL MICHLITSCH, MBA, CRPC® is the Vice President of In Force Insurance Solutions for Valmark Financial Group, leading the Valmark Policy Management Company (PMC) and Life Settlement teams. Michael is responsible for integrating strategies and solutions to maximize in force insurance business to best serve clients. Previously, he was Manager of Practice Management at Securian Financial Services, Inc., a Senior Training Manager for Woodbury Financial Services, Inc., and Sales Manager for Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. Mr. Michlitsch earned his MBA from the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas and his BA in Management and Marketing from Bethany Lutheran College. He is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor℠ (CRPC®) and carries the following Financial Services Designations: CFS, CIS, CFF, CES, CAS and CTS.
